Flow Control and Flood Prevention 

With extreme weather becoming more common, towns and their surrounding areas are more at risk of flooding than ever before. Here at Althon we sell a wide variety of flow control and flood prevention products that can help reduce the risks. Many of our products that allow the management of water can also be factory fitted to our precast concrete headwalls. Precast headwalls are an important part of most SUDS drainage schemes, preventing erosion at the point of discharge into watercourses such as attenuation ponds, detention basins, rivers, ditches and swales.

Sewerage Sector Guidance Headwalls

Althon Sewers for Adoption precast headwalls are Sewerage Sector Guidance (SSG) compliant and can be used when sewers are to be adopted on completion by the local Water Company. New sewerage adoption arrangements have come into effect through the publication of the Sewerage Sector Guidance (SSG). The SSG is a suite of documents submitted by Water UK on behalf of the water industry for approval by Ofwat.

Custom built GMS cranked grating, mesh catwalk and handrail 

At Althon we can offer standard and custom built gratings to suit any of our precast concrete headwalls. All gratings, catwalks and handrails can be custom designed and built to suit any site requirements. The gratings will then be factory fitted to our headwalls to make sure they fit, only being removed for delivery loading/offloading purposes.
