Come and visit us on stand 2175 to see how the system meets the needs and requirements of draining hard standings in an environmental way, whilst at the same time reducing the need for deep excavation on site.

The Sustainable Drainage Solutions we supply promote "Source Control" in accordance with PPS25 and PPG3.
Our extensive product range allows engineers and contractors to choose the most suitable and cost-effective solution for their site and are especially suitable for sites where problems such as contaminated ground, high water table or high level outlet exist. The systems can be designed as a stand-alone solution or can be used in conjunction with "Soft SUDS" such as Swales or Ponds etc. We can also design in irrigation for trees or
vegetation and commercial rainwater harvesting tanks.

CIRIA publishes structural design information

CIRIA publishes structural design information for modular geocellular drainage tanks

Date: 5th January 2009

CIRIA has produced Guidance Document C680 "Structural design of modular geocellular drainage tanks". This document has been produced to ensure that engineers have the required information to establish that a proposed underground structure is capable of remaining structurally sound and operational in trafficked situations over the lifetime of the construction.

C680 asserts that engineers should satisfy themselves of the suitability of the proposed construction, and not rely on manufacturer's recommendations.

SEL Permavoid has been fully tested in accordance with the requirements of C680 and we can, if required, provide structural calculations for SEL Permavoid tanks within our designs from an independent consultant. For further information on C680 see the CIRIA website or contact the Althon sales office.
