BIM Objects

Althon have recently started creating a BIM library of our precast concrete headwalls. The headwall models will be available in file formats Revit, IFC and ADSK with 3 pipe connectors per headwall design. All of our headwall models come under the Uniclass 2015 code PR_20_93_37 Precast Concrete Headwall Units and OmniClass Number 23.10.00.00 Site Products. We can also provide 3D models in other file formats on request.

Beccles Southern Relief Road

Beccles Southern Relief Road

Althon have recently supplied over 20 headwalls to the Beccles Southern Relief road which stretches from London Road (A145) to Ellough Road (C969). The road was built by Jacksons Civil Engineering and will lower the impact of HGVs in Beccles, providing them with an alternate route around the town.

Althon precast concrete headwalls supplied to the new relief road range from our smaller H3C concrete headwalls for 150mm dia pipes to our H10CA headwalls to suit 600mm dia pipes, factory fitted with a galvanised steel close coupled grating.

Box Culvert Headwalls

Box Culvert Headwalls

Althon has new range of precast concrete Box Culvert Headwalls to suit a maximum internal box culvert of 2650mm wide x 1750mm high. All of our CSP Culvert headwalls can be factory fitted with gratings, flap valves, Kee Klamp® handrail, penstocks and other flow control devices. Toe depths are also available up to 1000mm and come in thickness of 300 or 500mm.

Sewers for Adoption (SFA6) Headwalls

In response to customers requesting ‘Sewers for Adoption’ compliant Headwalls with a smaller footprint than our SFA10 Headwall for pipes up to & including 300mm ID, Althon have introduced the SFA6 Headwall range.  The SFA6 is available in three back wall heights & therefore three wing wall profiles & will accommodate pipework up to & including 300mm ID.  Toe depths of up to 1000mm are available in both 500 & 300mm thicknesses. Like all our other Headwalls these units can be factory fitted with Gratings, Flap Valves, Genuine Kee Klamp Handrail, Penstocks and other flow control devices.

Angled Headwall with Dissipation Blocks

Althon supply precast headwalls with factory fitted accessories. We have recently supplied one of our new AH4C left hand angled precast headwalls factory fitted with a 250mm HDPE flap valve and nine small diffuser blocks on the spillway.

All of our precast headwalls can be fitted with diffuser blocks on the spillway, stepped baffle blocks or cascade panels.

Our AH4C range of precast headwalls has been designed specifically to meet the Environment Agency’s Standard rules SR2015 No 27 – Constructing an outfall pipe of 300mm diameter through a headwall into a main river & Exempt flood risk activities: environmental permits section FRA12 ‘Outfall pipes less than 300mm diameter through a headwall’.
