Pipex Sewer Manholes

Purpose made manhole chambers for foul, combined and surface water adoptable sewers.

Pipe sizes up to 1400mm diameter as standard, however Pipex manufacturing methods enable main drain size to be any diameter as required with the largest supply to date 3000mm diameter.

Again as standard depths of up to 6m are available, however manufacturing methods allow depths of up to 12m to be accommodated.

Sewers for Adoption states manholes and sewers should be sited with due regard to public utility services. Manholes should not be further apart than 100 m. A manhole should be built at:

1. every change of alignment, gradient or pipe material;
2. at the head of all sewers;
3. at every junction of two or more public sewers;
4. wherever there is a change in the size of the sewer; and
5. at every junction of a public sewer with a private sewer serving more than 3 properties.

Manholes should be designed and constructed in accordance with BS EN 752-3: Pipex Sewer Manholes meet this requirement with 3rd party BBA & WRc approval and compliant with Sewers for Adoption.
