Pipex External Non-Adoptable Manhole

Purpose made manhole chambers for private, non-adoptable gravity drainage & pressurised process pipe systems in external areas beyond the footprint of a building or structure. Ideal for foul water, surface water, trade effluent waste and chemical processes that are private and NOT to be maintained by Sewerage Undertakers. Chambers are compliant to CESWI, BS EN 12573 & BS EN 752 as required.

Traditional brick & pre-cast concrete manholes & sewers built on site are often difficult to seal, incur additional site costs when constructed in areas with poor ground conditions & can have poor quality internal benching finishes leading to unsatisfactory performance during operational service. Alternatives have emerged, often in the form of chambers constructed from PE pipe, however these are seldom engineered with imposed loadings, external groundwater pressure, sealing or flotation issues in mind, yet these are essential factors when considering the use of “plastic” chambers
