Culvert Wing Walls

Where one of the standard Althon Headwalls isn't suitable we can now offer our Culvert Wingwalls. The system comprises of heavy duty reinforced concrete "L" shaped supports that are located on a lattice framework which is set into the concrete base cast on site. Front and side walls up to 150mm thick are secured to the supports by means of angle brackets which are at the rear of the structure and not seen from the front. The front walls can be cast to accommodate single or multiple pipe openings, box culverts and corrugated steel culverts. The Wingwalls can be set at an angle in relation to the Culvert end, and up to a maximum height of 3m.

As standard the "L" shaped supports start off at 1220mm high with a single strut and go up to 3000mm high with a double strut.

Again, as standard the wall panels are available either 100 or 150mm thick, and come in 2000mm lengths, 900, 1200 or 1500mm high.  In order to accommodate sloping Wingwalls the panels can be cast accordingly.  We can also cast the panels with openings for pipes, box culverts, corrugated steel culverts or multiple pipe culverts.

Each unit has lifting anchors cast in so they can be safely handled using the Frimeda Lifting Clutches.

Once the design and required components have been decided upon full installation instructions are provided.

As with our standard culverts a full range of accessories and modifications are available.
