| Extended Toes The toe of the headwall prevents scour undermining the structure, our standard toe is 200mm below the underside of the splashplate, we can now cast on an extended toe giving a depth of 600mm from the underside of the splashplate on the H3C, H6C and H10C Headwalls. The headwall is cast first with stainless steel dowels cast into the underside of the existing toe and splashplate. Then the mould for the extended toe is attached to the headwall and the concrete poured forming a bond with the dowels. We are currently developing further ideas for incorporating the extended toe on our headwalls and this could involve modifications to our existing moulds, any new developments will be listed on this website as they become available.
